Batch definition
A batch is a group of students an academy teaches together under a recurring plan, with an assigned coach and a roster. A batch can meet on one day or several days a week. Academies group students by teaching needs, using rating, age and a placement lesson, and batch size sets how much feedback each student gets.

Batch is the unit other scheduling terms hang off: coach load is counted from the batches a coach teaches, an attendance register is kept per batch, and a make-up credit exists because a student missed one specific batch session. Academy owners meet the word when setting up a first term timetable, deciding how many batches a level needs, and again whenever a batch outgrows its room or its coach's week.
